This year marks the 14th that the Beav' hosts its signature alpine endurance race, wherein skiers and snowboarders willing to accept the challenge compete to be the first to gain an almost-Everest 26,000 vertical feet of elevation while tackling the mountain's most challenging black and double-black diamond runs. Followed by a blowout after-party at Talons Restaurant.

Ladies' Night at Bol

10 p.m., Bol, Solaris, Vail Village

Calling all the ladies: On Saturaday night, Bol's resident music man spins for the ladies who receive a free first drink as they roll, and rock to DJ Stennor's beats.

Sunday, February 26

CarniVail, Vail Mountain

If you missed out on the previous day's celebration -- or still haven't gotten you fill of the Big Easy -- check out Sunday's festivities on Vail Mountain. Gumbo, jambalaya, and beignets will be served at Mid-Vail from noon to 3 p.m., with live music from The Sessh -- a metal-funk band steeped in New Orleans drawl.
