If you've got kids -- or you're just a kid at heart -- there's no shortage of options for hunting for Easter eggs around Avon, Beaver Creek, and Vail.
Lionshead Village, Vail
Lionshead Village plays host to one major Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 15 at 10 a.m. Kids are divided by age so that even the littlest of scavengers get a fair share of the spoils.
Nottingham Park, Avon
The Easter egg hunt is just the tip of the iceberg lettuce and carrot-filled basket when it comes to kiddie fun, as the Town of Avon hosts its Easter-themed festivities on Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m. to noon. Along with the egg hunt, families can enjoy a coloring contest, jelly bean guessing game, and an Easter Bunny cameo.
Creekside Park, Beaver Creek
The Beav's 25th annual Easter egg hunt feature 5,00 eggs, and a chance to snag a picture with the Easter bunny, who will be on hand for the event held on Saturday, April 15 at 10:30 a.m.
If your definition of scavenging means hitting the buffet, you'll have plenty of options to exercise that preference, too.
Ludwig's, Vail Village
Children 5 and under are free for the Sonnenalp Hotel's signature culinary spot's Easter brunch. Reservations are a must, as the glass-walled dining area is sure to fill up fast. 970-479-5429
Maya, The Westin Riverfront Resort, Beaver Creek
Chef Richard Sandoval's spot in the Westin is home to all things Easter come Sunday the 16th, with an Easter brunch, egg hunt, and arts and crafts all on hand for the occasion (and if you've seen the space's patio -- and the weather forecast -- it might just be the perfect place to be. Flame, The Four Seasons, Vail Village
If you're looking for the ultimate indulgence, book a table at the Four Seasons' Flame for a decadent brunch buffet and a bottomless candy bar. Reservations are a must, and brunch runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday the 16th. 970-477-8650
Easter Sunday Service
Vail Mountain will be hosting it's annual mountain-top service at Eagle's Nest on Easter morning. The sunrise service starts at 6 a.m., with the gondola open (and free) to the public at 5:30 a.m. for anyone looking to attend the picturesque interdenominational service. Additional services will be on Vail Mountain at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. for anyone who can't make it for sunrise, although early risers are asked to leave their skis and snowboards at home and download afterwards.
