Last fall, our sister magazine in Portland sponsored a special reader sweepstakes campaign dubbed “The Best Winter Ever in Vail.” The prize was sweet, including a 3-night stay at The Lodge at Vail, food and bowling at Bol, dinner for two at Campo De Fiori and Vintage, a wine tasting at Root & Flower, a shopping spree at Eye Pieces of Vail, Lionshead Jewelers, Nina McLemore, and Pepi Sports, a relaxing day at the Vail Vitality Center Spa, ski and snowboard demos from Bridge Street Ski Haus, and a chance to ski what is arguably the best mountain in North America.
