With Beaver Creek's Winter Culinary Weekend running from Thursday to Sunday, this weekend's agenda is focused first and foremost on wining and dining. However, if you're looking to plan some time away from tequila tastings and multi-course meals, the valley has a host of other activities. From family snowshoe tours to late-night beats in a nightclub vibe, here's the list of must-hits for this weekend:
Friday, January 20
Brett Dennen at the Vilar Performing Arts Center
7:30 p.m., Vilar Performing Arts Center, Beaver Creek
Singer-songwriter Brett Dennen will be bringing his folk-pop sound to Beaver Creek's Vilar Performing Arts Center in a Friday evening concert that should reprise some old favorites, along with songs from his new album "Por Favor," on the set list. $38.
Along with Friday's concert at the Vilar, the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens will be offering its daily, free self-guided snowshoe tour, along with the Colorado Ski & Snowboard Museum's Friday afternoon history walks through Vail Village.
Saturday, January 21
9 a.m., Vail Brewing Company, Solaris, Vail Village
Start the day with complimentary hot yoga, courtesy of Vail Village's lululemon at Vail Brewing Company's Vail Village tasting room in Solaris. After an hour of finding your center, reward yourself with one of the local's brewery's libations to kick off your weekend.
9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Eagle Bahn Gondola, Lionshead Village
Looking for a new set of skis to add to your quiver? Check out the ladies-specific ski demo, happening all day at the gondola in Lionshead. Over 5o vendors will be on hand to help you find the perfect pair of skis, with all demos being free of charge.
10 p.m. to 1 a.m., Bol, Solaris, Vail Village
If you're looking for an outlet to hit the town after hours, head to Bol, located within the Solaris complex, for their weekly DJ series centered around resident DJ STENNOR. If you're looking to make a night of it, book a lane at the upscale bowling alley before hitting the dance floor well into the night.
