Alabama Tornadoes Fundraiser featuring Darth Crooks

March 22, 4 to 7 p.m., Moe's Original BBQ, Lionshead Village

The valley's most prominent BBQ joint is dishing up its signature heaping plates of southern cuisine for a good cause, with a portion of sales going to victims of the tornadoes in Alabama earlier this month. Live music from Darth Crooks, plus raffles and food and drink specials are all part of the event. moesoriginalbbq.com

Powabunga

March 22, 4 p.m., Ford Park, Vail

Vail's newest music festival, Powabunga, kicks off Friday with opener Beschloo before headliner and internationally recognized electronic artist Zhu closes out the show as the sun goes down (general admission tickets available for $69, with VIP options available).

Howard Jones Acoustic Trio

March 22, 7:30 p.m., Vilar Performing Arts Center, Beaver Creek

Robin Boult and Nick Beggs join electronic music pioneer Howard Jones on Beaver Creek's main stage for one night and one night only (tickets starting at $48 per person). vilarpac.org

Powabunga After Party

March 22, 10 p.m., Vail Ale House, West Vail

March 23, 11 a.m., Fall Line, Vail Village

Powabunga isn't just music—the festival's inaugural costume competition goes down in Vail Village's Fall Line restaurant, with prizes going to a variety of categories (including new skis and snowboards for Best Dressed). powabungafest.com

March 23, 4 p.m., Ford Park, Vail

After the costume contest, head over to Ford Park, where one last day of music kicks off with Golden before Bob Moses closes things out at 9 p.m. (tickets starting at $59 per person). powabungafest.com

Free Comedy Night

March 23, 8 p.m., Vail Brewing Company, Eagle-Vail

Vail-Brewing Company's flagship pub is bringing back comedy night, with live stand-up sets and (of course) beer all part of the fun. vailbrewingco.com
