Trick or Treat Story Time

Oct. 31, 1 p.m., Vail Public Library, Vail Village

Bring your little ghosts and ghouls to the Vail Public Library for a free, Halloween-themed story time for kids 10 and under.


Trick-or-Treat Trot

Oct. 31, 2-5 p.m., Vail Village & Lionshead

Don’t miss this 26-years-strong Vail tradition where kids of all ages can run fully costumed through Vail and Lionshead Villages and collect candy from participating merchants. A limited number of Trick or Treat Trot bags will be available at the Covered Bridge in Vail Village and by the archway in Lionshead on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants are encouraged to bring their own reusable bags.


Edwards Fall Fun Night

Oct. 31, 4-7 p.m., Mountain Recreation Field House, Edwards

Enjoy a (free) night of kids’ activities to celebrate Halloween with plenty of room to run around. Kids are the focus but the whole family is welcome to join the fun.


Vail Brewing Company Halloween Party

Oct. 31, 6:30 p.m., Vail Brewing Company, Eagle-Vail

Featuring a costume contest, music by DJ Angie and plenty of handcrafted brews perfect for you and your boos, VBC’s Halloween Party will help you celebrate the holiday in tasty style. Free.




STARS: David Gonzalez: The Boy Who Could Sing Pictures

Nov. 1, 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Vilar Performing Arts Center, Beaver Creek

Featuring two stories that touch on important topics like compassion, generosity and tolerance, this production is geared towards the first through third grade crowd. Including “The Boy Who Could Sing Pictures,” adapted from Seymour Leichman’s book, and “Nina Nails It,” based on a Persian tale, these two stories feature storytelling by David Gonzalez and music from pianist David Kelly. $15 adults, $12 children.


Bonfire Brewing Intergalactic Halloween Party

Nov. 1, 8 p.m.-1 a.m., Bonfire Brewing, Eagle

Join the folks at Bonfire Brewing for a night of revelry In a galaxy far, far away…or just in Eagle. With a an out-of-this-world beer lineup, Bonfire is the perfect place for an extra-stellar good time. DJ Spooky Tunes will be spinning the space-age music. Free.


Agave Halloween Party featuring Mikey Thunder

Nov. 1, 9 p.m.-2 a.m., Agave, Avon

Famous for its Halloween bashes, Agave celebrates this year with DJ Mikey Thunder spinning hip hop and electronic-pop for those on the dancefloor. Costumes are king at this party with a $300 cash purse for the winners. $10 cover.


Las Cafeteras

Nov. 1, 7:30 p.m., Vilar Performing Arts Center, Beaver Creek

Celebrate Dia de los Muertos with Las Cafeteras, called the “Best Latin Alternative Band” by LA Weekly. Combining punk, hip-hop, cumbia, rock and more, Las Cafeteras performs a style of music that’s hard to pin down but impossible to resist. Using traditional Son Jarocho instruments like the jarana, requinto, quijada (donkey jawbone) and tarima (a wooden platform), Las Cafeteras sing in English, Spanish and Spanglish and add a remix of sounds from hip-hop to rancheras to create music that builds bridges. From $32.




Golden Eagle Senior Center Senior Craft Fair

Nov. 2, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Golden Eagle Senior Center (715 Broadway), Eagle

Find one-of-a-kind gifts made with love at the 3rd annual Senior Craft Fair organized by the Golden Eagle Senior Center. Created by local older adults, peruse these homemade and handcrafted items and you could get a jump on the holiday season shopping.
