Vail Legacy Weekend

Feb. 14-17, Vail Mountain

More than 50 years ago, Vail’s pioneers had a dream to build a world-class ski resort; Vail is the manifestation of that dream. During Vail Legacy Weekend, honor the soldiers of the 10th Mountain Division, meet members of the Colorado National Guard (stationed at the base of Gondola One all weekend, and arriving in style in a Black Hawk helicopter at the top of Chair 2 on Feb 15!) and celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Riva Ridge on Monday (Feb. 17) by taking a run down its Vail Mountain namesake, the resort’s longest (and same say finest) trail. vail.com

2020 Vail Athletic Club Vail Mountain Winter Uphill Race

Participants: Choose your mode of transport and showshoe, skin, spike, hike or Yaktrax your way 2,300 vertical feet and 2.5 miles of groomed trails to reach Eagle's Nest at the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola in Lionshead during the Vail Mountain Uphill.
