Blue Sky Cup

Feb. 7, 7:30 a.m., Vail Mountain

In this fundraiser for Rheumatoid Arthritis research, teams of four skiers or more take to the slopes at Vail to ski 40,000+ vertical feet (or more!) in one day. The team that also completes select on-mountain challenges combined with the maximum vertical feet wins the Blue Sky Cup. With a costume requirement and an after party, it’s a ski day that will test your limits for a good cause. $155. blueskycup.ski

 

Harry Potter Day

Feb. 7, 5-8 p.m., Vail Public Library, Vail Village

Calling all witches, wizards and muggles – don your best robes and head to the Vail Library for the annual Harry Potter Day celebration. This annual includes, snacks, activities, a costume contest and a movie showing for guests of all ages. vaillibrary.com

 

The Doo Wop Project

Feb. 7, 7 p.m., Vilar Performing Arts Center, Beaver Creek

Do you know Doo Wop? Tracing the evolution of Doo Wop from street corner harmonies to the hits of today, the Doo Wop Project transports audiences on a wave of “doo whah diddy diddy” from groups like the Crests, Belmonts and Flamingos through their influence on greats like Smokey Robinson, The Temptations and The Four Seasons all the way to modern musicians like Jason Mraz and Maroon 5.
