Parades, Parties, Concerts & Fireworks
Avon’s Salute to the USA
5-10:30 p.m., July 3, Harry A. Nottingham Park, avon
You don't have to wait until the 4th to celebrate America's birthday. Avon's 40th Annual Salute to the USA begins with kids’ activities like face painters, balloon sculptors, and magicians, continues with a concert by Grammy–nominated Grace Patton, and ends with one of the biggest fireworks shows in Colorado, lighting up the night sky over Nottingham Lake.
Public transportation is the easiest way to access the festivities. Free shuttles are available from multiple locations in Avon, Edwards, Eagle-Vail, and Beaver Creek parking lots
if you drive, expect long delays.
Gypsum Fireworks
7:30-10 p.m. July 3, Lundgren Amphitheater Field
The Town of Gypsum hosts a fireworks display beginning at dusk/9:30 p.m. on July 3. Be sure to come early for live music, free hot dogs and popsicles (while supplies last), and lawn games.
Vail America Days Parade & Celebration
10 a.m. -10 p.m., July 4, Vail village
Vail's annual 4th of July bash kicks off at Golden Peak, where a parade filled with floats and bands meanders through Vail Village before ending at Lionshead Mall. The 2026 parade will include community-organized floats, marching bands and performances by the Colorado State University Select Marching Band and Brothers of Brass from Denver. Plan on arriving early (organizers suggest arriving by 9:30 a.m. to get a spot along the parade route) and ride a bike or take the bus into town if you can—the 4th brings out the masses. Also, consider leaving your dog at home.
Co-hosted by the Vail Valley Foundation and Bravo! Vail Music Festival, the annual Fourth of July Patriotic Concert at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater begins at 2 p.m. This year, featuring the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, it is a benefit for the Vail Veterans Program. Tickets go on sale July 1 with a maximum of four tickets per person. Free lawn access on show day is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
A free Club 250 concert on the Gondola One Lawn in Vail Village kicks off at 6 p.m., with headliner DJ Mandy taking the stage at 8 p.m.
Weather permitting, Vail's annual pyrotechnic display starts around dusk (9:45 p.m.) over Golden Peak. You can view the show from anywhere that you have a clear view of the frontside of Vail Mountain above Pepi’s Face. Pro tip: snag your spot early, as prime real estate on slopeside patios (like The Fitz at Manor Vail) fill up fast—although, a short hike up Vail Mountain from the base of Gondola One rewards with some of the best views in the Village.
4th of July Bike Parade
9:30-noon bush creek park pavilion, eagle
Eagle's 4th of July celebration is all about two wheels—decorate your bicycle in red, white, and blue before joining the group ride from Eagle Medical Center North to Brush Creek Pavilion, where professional foam-making equipment will turn the park into a giant dance party/bubble bath playground. (Organizers suggest bringing a towel and/or change of clothes.)
Beaver Creek Independence Day Celebration
2-10 p.m., Beaver Creek Mountain
Beaver Creek celebrates America's birthday with a full day of live music and a slew of family-friendly activities—including the Stars, Stripes & Slides kid’s area and youth entertainment stage in the village, food trucks, and fireworks. Families looking for a more upscale experience can opt for VIP event ticketing.
