Vail Brewing Company's "Midnight Romance"

If you're perpetually on the lookout when it comes to the latest and greatest beers from the Vail Valley, stop by Vail Brewing Company and ask for a pint of its just-released "Midnight Romance," a chocolate and raspberry porter inspired by Valentine's Day candies (and consider bringing your main squeeze if you forgot to give them something similar on February 14). The team at Vail Brewing Company added 5 gallons of liquid cacoa and 88 pounds-worth of raspberries from Oregon at the end of the brewing process for a creamier take on a traditional porter with toasty notes of chocolates and fruit. You can taste it for yourself at the Vail Village taproom ($7 per pint) or straight from the source at the brewpub's headquarters in Eagle-Vail ($6 per pint), although we'd recommend splurging on a growler (that's a sealed, take-home container) if you are looking for a Valentine's Day redemption—and maybe dinner pairing to go with it, too. vailbrewingco.com
