If you're favorite après-hiking companion tends to be four-legged, you're in luck. Hotel Talisa has no bones about Fido tagging along while you sip its signature summer White Sangria Poptail (made with New Age white wine, Moët Imperial Champagne, and garnished with a tropical-colored popsicle)—in fact, they've got a special menu for him (or her), too. Every Thursday (4 to 7 p.m.) throughout the summer, your pooch can indulge at Hotel Talisa's Yappy Hour on its creekside terrace, thanks to housemade peanut butter and bacon doggie biscuits, bottomless water bowl refills, and Bowser Beer, a specialty brew made just for dogs that includes human-grade beef, chicken or pork and malt barley suds. The event is free(!) for humans and dogs, even if they're not staying at the hotel (although, if you and your dog are guests at Hotel Talisa, ask about the Pooch Pampering Menu, which offers an assortment of toys and gourmet meals from the hotel's restaurant Gessner). And the best part? You (and your pooch) can kick back knowing that 10 percent of Yappy Hour proceeds benefit less fortunate pups at the Eagle Valley Humane Society. Reservations aren't necessary for the event—just be sure to keep your dog leashed and on his or her best behavior. hoteltalisa.com
