West Vail's Grand Hyatt Is Working on Its Golf Game

West Vail’s Grand Hyatt is also working on its indoor golf game, adding a Topgolf “Swing Suite” to its culinary offerings for guests.
If you’ve never been to a Topgolf location, the enormous open-air space is cordoned off into bays where you swing a real club and hit real balls into the netted grassy space splayed out in front of you. Think of the Grand Hyatt’s Swing Suite as a mini version of that experience. The indoor bay (which runs $150 for 90 minutes) can accommodate up to 12 and employs Full Swing’s sports-simulator technology so guests can virtually play a round or engage with a variety of golf-themed games. Lounge seats mean folks aren’t just standing around when they’re not playing. They’re eating pizzas and paninis paired with palomas and frothy pints of Vail Brewing Company Hot Mess Blonde and Pete’s Stash IPA.

For those in the party who aren’t Happy Gilmores, the interactive games go way beyond swinging a club. There’s soccer, hockey, and, presumably for those who overindulge, something called zombie dodgeball.
