The new concept opened in the Vail Marriott earlier this month.

Well + Being's Himalayan Salt Lounge

There's a new spa in town; Well + Being Spa has landed in the Vail Marriott, and includes a swanky transformation that encompasses over 8,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space (that includes a fitness center) as part of its introduction to the Vail Valley's R&R game. Things to note: the spa's focused on ski recovery, meaning you can book a dip in a cryotherapy tub, or opt for a Vail Mountain Muscle Relief massage (with add-ons like a CBD rubdown or Cryo cold-packs) to soothe sore ski legs. Body treatments are also aimed at high-altitude recovery, like the spa's signature "Recovery Body Treatment," which includes a rubdown with peppermint, rosemary, geranium and sweet orange oils while you lay on an Infra-Red heating mat to boost circulation (starting at $205 for 50-minutes). Also worth booking: the spa's "Anti-Aging Oxygen Facial," which pumps your skin with O2 and Vitamins A, E, and C, so you're glowing even after a frosty day on the slopes ($215 for 80-minutes).

The space is something to celebrate too, thanks to revamped treatment rooms and a communal lounge area that centers around a flickering fireplace (and a private lounge area perfect for groups). Well + Being's Salt Therapy Lounge is especially noteworthy (it's the only one in the valley), since you can recline on plush, sheepskin throws in a warmly-lit, salt-tiled room and breathe in a fine salt mist that helps reduce inflammation and break up congestion after treating your post-powder day aches and pains. Seeing as the new spa is only a brief ski-boot shuffle from Lionshead Village's Eagle Bahn Gondola, we won't blame you if your après-ski routine is never quite the same. wbvail.com, 970-479-5004
