Pink Vail festivities on the mountain.

Like any weekend here in the Vail Valley, there's plenty to choose from when it comes to the weekend agenda, but this Saturday belongs to Pink Vail. What is Pink Vail? It's the world's biggest ski day to conquer cancer, with all funds raised from the event going to Edwards' own Shaw Regional Cancer Center. And while our agenda rightly has the regional cancer center's annual fundraiser as the focal point, we've got a a few more must-do's for this weekend to add to your calendar.
Saturday, March 25
8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Vail Mountain
Whether you know someone who has received treatment at Shaw, have a friend or family member who is a cancer survivor, or just want to support a good cause, Pink Vail is an annual on-mountain celebration at Vail that raises money for a good cause. You can join the mountain fun, or simply make a donation -- even if you won't be in town for the event.
Beaver Creek Mountain
If you're all about freeing the heel (and your mind), head over to the Beav for Bishop Binding Co., Alpine Quest Sports, The Beaver Creek Chophouse, and C Bar's joint event all about telemark skiing. Participants can pick up demos the day before for a day of telemark clinics on the mountain, and the C Bar will have food and drink specials all day.
The Riverwalk's staple culinary spot, The Rose, will be hosting brunch with live music Sunday morning with their assortment of staple cocktails and savory spreads to kick off your Sunday. Village Bagel will also be on hand selling their brown-paper-bagged bagels and schmears if you're in a rush and need something to take for the road (or just need to stock up for the week to come).
9 p.m., Loaded Joe's, Avon
BBQ Mike hosts open mic at Loaded Joe's, although the talent pool isn't your typical hodgepodge of wannabes, as the valley's best typically assemble for the Sunday night jam. Drink specials ($3 Shiner Bock) are another enticing part of the action.
