Grab your picnic basket and your sunscreen; whether you're hitting the trails for a good cause or relaxing to the sounds of Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, this weekend has a little something for everyone.

Cover Rock Festival

June 23-24, 2 to 8 p.m., Avon Performance Pavilion, Nottingham Lake, Avon

The two-day tribute to 60's era cover bands (featuring some of the best in the business) comes to Nottingham Lake with a Beatles vs. Rolling Stones theme for this year's event. Billed as the "greatest event that never happened," the British Invasion caps off with a Pink Floyd-accompanied laser show, and tickets can be purchased for single or both days.

The British are coming to Nottingham Lake for a two-day festival to 60s era music.

La Sportiva Summer Solstice Trail Run

9 a.m., Creekside Park, Beaver Creek

La Sportiva's summer trail running series continues with a mix of Saturday races all benefiting the Vail Valley Charitable Fund, which benefits Vail Valley locals in need due to medical crisis or longterm illness. Choose from a 5k or 10k, or sign the little ones up for a free Kid Fun Run. 

Summertime Community Yoga

9 to 10 a.m., Solaris, Vail Village

Step into the flow with the Vail Vitality Center's first of the season free community yoga, held in the Solaris Ice Rink area. Some of the valley's best teachers are on hand for the sun-drenched yoga sessions, with both Yeti's Grind and Vail Brewing Company on hand to fill your post-flow vice.

Bravo! Vail: Academy of St. Martin in the Fields

June 24 & 25, 6 p.m., Gerald Ford Ampitheater, Vail Village

It's Bravo! season! Bravo! Vail's summer lineup features top orchestras from around the globe, and is a summer must for locals and tourists. Dress to impress, and bring your best blanket to spread out on the lawn with some friends and bubbles (of course).
