Backcountry Only Ski Swap

Saturday (Nov. 4), 9 a.m. through Sunday (Nov. 5), 2 p.m., Cripple Creek Backcountry, Lionshead Village

Looking to upgrade or cash in on your AT ski or splitboard setup? Lionshead's outlet for all things backcountry will be hosting its first annual ski swap, where prospective buyers can trade in used gear in the days leading up to the event for 110% store credit, or 70% cash.

2017 Holiday Market at Gypsum Creek Middle School

Saturday (Nov. 4), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Gypsum Creek Middle School, Gypsum

We haven't bought, much less carved, our turkeys yet, but if you're already thinking of what to get friends and family for the holidays, check out Gypsum Creek Middle School's annual holiday market, where local business owners and artisans will be selling their goods in support of the school's parent-teacher organization. Santa and his elves will also be on hand, if you just can't wait to get into the holiday spirit.

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary Celebration

Saturday (Nov. 4), 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Vail Public Library

Even muggles (and adults) are welcome at Vail Public Library's celebration of 20 years of Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Attendees will be sorted into classes for wizard-themed games, potion making, and even a game of quidditch.

Ice Age Discovery Youth Program

Saturday (Nov. 4), 2 to 4 p.m., Walking Mountains Science Center, Avon

If your little ones can't get enough of anything dinosaur-related, they'll devour Walking Mountains Science Center's interactive lesson on the Ice Age, where elementary school-aged participants can chat with a real paleontologist, and touch the remnants of prehistoric creatures. $10 per child, and kids must be accompanied by an adult.

Comedy Night at the Bowlmor

Saturday (Nov. 4), 8:15 p.m., The Back Bowl, Eagle

The Back Bowl's in-house lounge and sports bar hosts comedy night with headliner Mitch Fatel, who's no stranger to the late night circuit, having been a guest on the Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. $19 in advance, and $22 at the door.
