Big Heart Big Hands Splash of L.I.M.E

Friday, October 6, 5:45 to 9 p.m., Larkspur Restaurant, Vail

Local nonprofit Big Heart Big Hands' third annual event in remembrance of Vail Valley local Jarod Wetherell, who passed away while hiking the Maroon Bells outside of Aspen, benefits our local backcountry search and rescue group, with proceeds from the fundraiser going to Vail Mountain Rescue. Tickets are $50, which gives attendees complimentary food and drink, and access to the silent auction and live music. Local mountaineer and educator Jon Kedrowski, PhD, will also be on hand to present at the Splash of L.I.M.E. ("life is my employer") event. eventbrite.com

Pinktober Fest

Saturday, October 7, 4 to 10 p.m., The Dusty Boot Roadhouse, Eagle

Food and drink specials along with live music are just one reason to attend the 8th annual Pinktober Fest in Eagle, but the biggest reason is that proceeds benefit the Shaw Regional Cancer Center in Edwards. dustybooteagleranch.com

Missy and Heine Andersen at Vail Brewing Company

Saturday, October 7, 6 to 9:30 p.m., Vail Brewing Company, Vail Village

Husband and wife blues and soul duo Miss and Heine Andersen make a stop at Vail Brewing Company's Vail Village tap room during their country-spanning musical tour, for an accoustic evening. Don't forget the pint of Gourd Range (VBC's seasonal pumpkin beer) to go along with the tunes. vailbrewingco.com

Stephanie Rice & Colonial Blue at the Vilar Performing Arts Center

Sunday, October 7, 7:30 p.m., Vilar Performing Arts Center, Beaver Creek

Calling all fans of NBC's "The Voice," 2017 contestant Stephanie Rice and her accompanying band will be taking the stage at the Beav's concert venue as part of its "Underground Sound Series," where locals can buy passes for 7 concerts at the Vilar for $100. Industry Night at 10th Mountain Whiskey & Spirit Co.

Alright, locals, get your whiskey fix at 10th Mountain's tasting room in Vail Village by bringing along a pay stub to prove you work in the area, and indulge in 2-for-1 drink specials and 10% off merchandise and bottles. The Sunday night special will be going on all off-season long, to keep you warm (and keep your bank account steady) throughout the fall. 10thwhiskey.com
