Kids 3 and under are welcome to come meet Santa at his tea and cookie party Friday afternoon.

Ugly Sweater Christmas Party

Friday, December 15, 7 to 11 p.m., Vail Brewing Company, Eagle-Vail

Grab your ugliest Christmas sweater and a cash or toy donation for admittance to Vail Brewing Company's Eagle-Vail tap room for a night of holiday cheer, and, of course, locally made beer.

S'mores Party

Friday, December 15, 7 p.m., Gondola Fire Pits, The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa, Avon

The Westin is celebrating the holidays with 25 days of festive (and free) events for families, like Friday's s'more roasting party on the gondola terrace.

Yoga Off Broadway & Bonfire Brewing Holiday Party

Friday, December 15, 7:30 p.m. to 12 a.m., Bonfire Brewing, Eagle 

Kick off Friday night with a Yoga+Beats class at Eagle's Yoga Off Broadway before heading over to Bonfire Brewing for a pint-fueled party 'til midnight; ditch the PrAna and Lululemon tights for a Santa suit and you may walk away with the pub's "best-dressed" prize.,

A Very Montana's Christmas Party

Vail Holiday Sweater Run

Saturday, December 16, 8 to 10 a.m., Vail Village

Racers take their mark at Vail Village's Checkpoint Charlie before covering 2.7 miles to Lionshead Village — with a hot cocoa stop along the way. Prizes are all part of the race's fun, with awards being handed out to participants rocking the Best Mustache, and the Best Sweater, among others.

Free Women's Ski Demo Day

Saturday, December 16, 9 a.m., Eagle Bahn Gondola, Lionshead Village

Women's ski retailer Outdoor Divas will have nearly 100 pairs of skis on hand for ladies to try over the course of the day, with experts available to answer questions about products, as well.

Kris Kringle Market

Saturday, December 16, 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Vail Village

Made-in-Colorado gifts and a chance to catch Santa will be first and foremost at Vail Village's annual holiday market. If you've already taken care of your Christmas list, come for the people-watching, and snacking on treats.

Town of Vail Tree Lighting

After caroling and speechifying, Vail Village's bigwigs flip the switch on the town's towering live Christmas tree in Slifer Square (near the covered bridge).

Riverwalk Menorah Lighting

Sunday, December 17, 5:30 p.m., The Riverwalk, Edwards

Latkes, lattes, and donuts — plus live music — are all part of The Riverwalk's Chanukah celebration, hosted by Chabad of Vail.

DJ Stennor at Root & Flower

Vail Village's only wine bar morphs into a nightclub every Sunday, thanks to DJ Stennor (Bol's resident DJ), and flowing shots of Genepy.
