All You Need Is Heart

February 9, 8 a.m to 1 p.m., Colorado Mountain College, Edwards

Vail Health's 6th Annual ‘All You Need Is Heart’ event features screenings and educational information on cardiovascular health at a discounted rate for locals (prices start at $99). If you've already had your yearly physical, consider checking out the silent auction, with proceeds benefiting local nonprofit Starting Hearts.

Outdoor Adventure Quest

February 9 - 11, Bonfire Brewing, Eagle

Welcoming all beer and adventure lovers, Winter Adventure Quest and Bonfire Brewing have partnered to create a 3-day adventure challenge jam-packed with as many winter sports as possible. Questers will spend Friday through Monday exploring our corner of Colorado, earning points along the way through the Outdoor Adventure Quest App’s live scoreboard. Bonfire brews are but one reward ($25- $75).

Icebreaker Evening Snowshoe Tour

February 9, 5 to 7 p.m., Walking Mountains Science Center, Avon

Enjoy a free evening snowshoe tour with educators from Avon's Walking Mountains Science Center through the beautiful White River National Forest. Icebreaker's Solaris store serves as basecamp for the event.

Vail Mountain School Jazz Trio 

February 9, 7 to 10 p.m., Ein Prosit, Avon

Avon's German bier stube hosts young, local talent for a live jazz performance that's sure to have  amazing energy.

An Evening with Greg Laswell

February 9, 7:30 to 9:30p.m., Vilar Performing Arts Center, Beaver Creek

The songster from San Diego will be performing his seven studio albums, many of which you might recognize from films and television shows ($48).

The Altitones 

February 9, 10 p.m. to 1a.m., Vail Ale House, West Vail

Local rockers the Altitones take the stage in West Vail for a two-night performance into that will carry attendees into the wee hours of the morning.    


Heart Hero 5k Run/Walk

February 10, 9 a.m., Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa, Avon

Get your run on and donate to local non-profit Starting Hearts, which is dedicated to saving the lives of sudden cardiac arrest victims through free CPR and DEFIB training and educational programs. Dress up in your favorite super hero costume as everyone races to the finish line ($15 adult entry, $5 kids, $25 family).

TEDxVail Yes 2018 + TEDxVail 2018 Official After Party

February 10, 12 to 9 p.m. Vail Mountain School, East Vail; February 10, 9 p.m. to 12 a.m., Frost Bar, Vail Village

 TEDxVail shapes a healthier Vail Valley to make a happier world by saying “Yes.” Focusing on the productive tension, this talk will allow the community to have a positive mindset to further making changes for the better. After the inspiration, head out into the village for a Ted Talk-themed afterparty the Sebastian's at Frost Bar (TEDxVail tickets $50-125). 

Project Funway 2018

February 10, 6 p.m., Dobson Ice Arena

Talented young designers create an unconventional runway fashion show featuring judges, emcees, food, drinks and a silent action. All proceeds benefit the Education Foundation of Eagle County so come out and get involved with this learning experience for students (starting at $95).  

Evanoff at Agave

February 10, 9:30 p.m., Agave Nightclub, Avon

Denver-based Evanoff brings its signature mix of classic rock and electronic beats to the valley's go-to place for late-night tunes.


Beaver Creek Running Series- Snowshoe Edition

February 11, 10 a.m., Beaver Creek Resort, Beaver Creek

Both 5k and 10k runners welcome! Registration opens up at 8:30 a.m., with the race starting at 10 a.m.  Awards will be given to the top 3 men and women in each age bracket for the 5K and 10k races, awarded at a post party featuring a meal and raffle ($25-$85).

Kids Night Out!

February 11, 3 to 7:30 p.m., Vail Recreation District, Lionshead

Parents seeking a four-hour reprieve from parenting can drop off children ages 5+ at 3 p.m. at the Imagination Station in Lionshead. As mom and dad rekindle the romance, kids enjoy virtual reality, shrink art, imagination station play, and dinner, before heading to Hotel Talisa's Blue Starlite Cinema for a movie and popcorn ($40 per child, $30 per additional child).

Ping Pong Tournament 

February 11, 7 p.m. to 2 a.m., China Garden, Avon

Are you a Ping Pong master? Channel your inner Forest Gump at the China Garden table tennis tournament, where all skill levels welcome, and the $2 entry fee includes a free drink and a chance to win a meal on the house.
