Perennial Plant Sale & Trough Planting Workshop

It's gardening season, and Golden Peak's Betty Ford Alpine Gardens will be holding its annual perennial sale and membership drive in honor of the occasion, along with providing aspiring gardeners a chance to build their own take-home flower troughs (free for members, $10 for non-members).

Memorial Weekend Backyard BBQ

Get your BBQ fix (Vail Village style) at The Sebastian's two-day party celebrating the long weekend, complete with a special menu for the kiddos (and local beers and ginger-lime margaritas for grownups).

Sole Power 2018 Season Kickoff

The Vail Valley's annual green commuting challenge kicks off with a happy hour-timed party at Garf's in Lionshead Village, with plenty of prizes (and drink specials) to get you and your ride geared up for summer.

John Street Tour at Shakedown Bar

The Mike Montrey Band makes at a stop at Bridge's Street's go-to, late-night haunt to promote its latest album, "John Street."


Café Knit

May 26, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Maker+Stitch, Edwards

Join a community of knitters at Maker+Stitch on Saturday morning to knit and kibbitz over coffee and treats. All you need is your needles and yarn! ($10).

One last chance to join the party (and feast on barbecue) on The Sebastian's patio in honor of the long weekend.

15th Annual Beaver Creek Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival

May 26, 12 to 6 p.m., Beaver Creek Resort

Sample grilled fare paired with craft beer this Saturday at the Beaver Creek Blues, Brews, & BBQ Festival and cast your vote for the people’s best BBQ. In addition to a play area packed with kid-friendly activities, the festival will host several live performers, including ZZ Ward and Colorado legend Hazel Miller. Only interested in the suds? Check out the event's Craft Beer Festival from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. ($40-$80) on the Centennial Lawn. 

Grills Gone Wild

May 26, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., 10th Mountain Whiskey & Spirit Company, Gypsum

Visit the 10th Mountain Whiskey & Spirit Company distillery in collaboration with War Angels concerts and get in on the action with competitive events like a BBQ cook off, craft cocktail competition, and a corn hole tournament—or take a free distillery tour if you'd rather spectate than compete ($10 suggested donation). 

Moonlight Swim & Movie Night

Dive “under the sea” for a late night swim at the EagleVail Swimming Pool while watching featured movie The Little Mermaid (free for pass holders, $5 drop-in fee).


15th Annual Beaver Creek Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival

May 27, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Beaver Creek

The final day of Beaver Creek's Blues, Brews, and BBQ event kicks off with a backyard BBQ competition, followed by music by The Delta Sonics, Coco Montoya, and the Otis Taylor Band.

Eagle River Jam

May 27, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Eagle

Local outdoor guiding company Timberline Tours will provide free raft cruises for Eagle's party down by the river—plus hot dogs and yard games for all (come dressed to get wet).


Vail Valor Races

Spend your Memorial Day at Vail’s 6th annual spring road race in the mountains with several distance options ranging from a marathon, a 5-mile run/walk, and a 1-mile run, benefitting the Vail Veterans Program.

Pop Up Concert

May 28th, 5:30 to 7 p.m., Avon

For its third year, Pop Up Concerts is featuring live classical and contemporary music performed by Colorado’s symphonies and philharmonics in and around Avon's Nottingham Park and other surprise locations. Each concert is 90-minutes, with refreshments available each evening.
