The Vail Dance Festival presents a panel discussion on the works of esteemed choreographer Merce Cunningham—plus, food and drinks for those in attendance (tickets from $20).

International Evenings of Dance

Ballet superstars from around the world leap across the stage at Golden Peak for one of Vail Dance's premier showcases (lawn seats $23, reserved seating $60 to $125).

Tower of Power—50th Anniversary Tour 2018

R&B super group Tower of Power rocks the main stage at Beaver Creek in honor of 50 years of music-making (tickets from $49).

Arthur Buezo at 7 Hermits Brewing

La Sportiva Berry Picker Trail Run

One Love Flow with Kevin Paris

Follow the rubber-bandy lead of LA-based singer-songwriter Kevin Paris as he provides a live ballad for this 75-minute rhythmic yoga class ($15 for Mountain Soul Yoga members, $25 for non-members).

Rebecca King Ferraro and Michael Sean Breeden of the podcast "Conversations on Dance"  lead a Vail Dance Festival panel discussion with breakout star Roman Meija of the New York City Ballet (tickets from $20).

31st Annual Beaver Creek Art Festival

August 4, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Beaver Creek

Spend your Saturday perusing the Beav's plein air art showcase, where over 100 artists (from painters and photographers to sculptors and glass-blowers) will be on hand to talk about (and sell) the fruits of their labors.

Major League Triathlon Vail Valley

August 4, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Nottingham Park & Pavilion, Avon

Elite triathletes from around the world (including Vail local John O'Neill, a professional triathlete who announced that this will be his last race) duke it out on the course at Beaver Creek—and in the water at neighboring Nottingham Lake—for ultimate bragging rights as King (or Queen) of the Mountain.
