Restaurant Week 2018 kicks off Friday, so reserve a table at one of the valley's premier eateries for serious offseason deals.

Outlier Offroad Festival

September 28, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Vail Village

Bike demos, singletrack races on Vail Mountain, and plenty of MTB swag comes to Vail for three days as the Outlier Offroad Festival celebrates all things mountain biking in and around Vail Village.

Patio Party at the Riverwalk Theater

September 28, 5 to 11 p.m., The Riverwalk Theater, Edwards

Edwards's movie theater is celebrating new ownership (and new concessions) with a soft opening party featuring drink specials and snacks from Village Bagel. Stay for patio games and music—and the theater's premier of the animated kids' film, "Smallfoot."

Wild Wine Tasting

September 28, 6 to 9 p.m., Saddleridge, Beaver Creek

Eagle County's PTO/PTA fundraiser at Saddleridge features a wine tasting, silent auction, and gourmet bites, with proceeds benefitting Eagle County's public elementary schools ($40 per person).


Yoga for All: A Practice for Mental Health Awareness

September 29, 10 to 11:30 a.m., Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, Vail

Get your weekend flow on for a good cause, as local yogis Melissa Bartoletta and Dana Knerl lead a yoga session at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater intended to spur mindfulness, with proceeds from the class going to local nonprofit SpeakUP ReachOUT ($20 per person).

Gus Gruner Art Show 

September 29, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Two Arrows Coffee, Vail Village

Vail Village's coffee-by-day, wine-by-night nook in Vail Village will be hosting an in-house exhibit of local artist Gus Gruner to peruse while you get your caffeine fix.

Outlier Offroad Festival

September 29, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Vail Village

Day two of the Outlier Offroad Festival features more demos and more singletrack for mountain biking enthusiasts.

Forest Therapy Walk

September 29, 12 to 3 p.m., Walking Mountains Science Center, Avon

Mindfulness meets wilderness, as guides from the Walking Mountains Science Center lead hikers on a slow-paced trek meant to reconnect participants with nature (free to all, but space is limited).


September 29, 2 to 8 p.m., Sonnenalp Hotel, Vail Village

Oktoberfest parties on for one last hurrah at Vail Village's Sonnenalp Hotel, with plenty of Bavaria fare, bier, and live music from The Austrian Guys planned for the celebration.


Gus Gruner Art Show 

September 28, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Two Arrows Coffee, Vail Village

One last chance to check out work by local artist Gus Gruner at Vail Village's newest coffee shop, Two Arrows Coffee.
