Eagle's two-day music festival is one last chance to toast the summer's waning weeks, with beer from local brewery 7 Hermits and live music from Karl Denson's Tiny Universe set to rock the town Friday night. The best part? A portion of the proceeds raised go to the Eagle River Fire Protection District's "Fill the Boot" campaign that benefits the Muscular Dystrophy Association (two-day tickets available for $15-$35 per person).

Although, if you can't find enough people to round out a team, the event's free pancake breakfast is a good cause to check it out, and stick around for the action ($550 per team of 8-12 people).

8th Annual Wheels and Wings Festival

September 8, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Vail Valley Jet Center, Gypsum

The Vail Valley Jet Center opens its hangars to all for a day-long car and air show—plus, plenty of free kids' activities and a classic car auction (family pricing with parking available for $45, with VIP ticket pricing available from $250 to $1000).

September 8, 12 to 10 p.m., Lionshead Village

Day two of Lionshead Village's Oktoberfest kicks off with music from longtime, accordion-wielding local Helmut Fricker and his band, along with keg bowling, and a Bavarian costume contest.

Don't miss the final day of Eagle's Septemberfest celebration, which features live music from The Wailers of Bob Marley fame (two-day tickets available for $15-$35 per person).
