Have you heard the news—or been tracking all the early-season snowstorms? After another weekend of white-out conditions, Vail Resorts announced it would open both Vail and Beaver Creek Mountains early, with Vail set to start spinning its lifts on Wednesday (November 14, vail.com) instead of its slated opening on Friday, and Beaver Creek to follow suit with a Saturday opening (November 17, beavercreek.com), four days ahead of its scheduled debut. Both mountains will start ferrying skiers and snowboarders up the hill at 9 a.m., with Vail Mountain dropping the rope on 500 acres of terrain, and dishing up breakfast burritos for anyone vying for first chair (plus, hot cocoa and music while you wait in queue at either Born Free Express Lift and the Eagle Bahn Gondola at Lionshead Village, or Gondola One in Vail Village); at Beaver Creek, four lifts (Centennial Express, Cinch Express, Red Buffalo Express, and Haymeadow Express) will deliver skiers and riders to 220 acres of fresh snow.

After the past few seasons of dismal snow and warm temperatures, expect big crowds to celebrate an incredible start to the winter season on Wednesday and Saturday—and keep those snow dances coming so the trend continues!
