January 11, 4 to 6 p.m., Vail Brewing Company, Vail Village

Kick off your ski boots and get comfortable with a pint from Vail Brewing Company's Solaris tasting room in Vail Village, as blues rockers the Johnny Johnston duo top by for an après-ski show.

Dave Perron at Ein Prosit

January 11, 6 to 9 p.m., Ein Prosit, Avon

Singer/guitarist Dave Perron spend an evening at Avon's bierhaus, Ein Prosit.

Vail Yeti Hockey

January 11, 7:45 p.m., Dobson Ice Arena, Vail

The puck drops at 7:45 at Dobson Ice Arena, as Vail's own semi-professional hockey team matches up against the Texas Titans for two nights of action.

Vail Yeti Hockey

Night two of action on the ice, as the Vail Yeti hockey team takes on the Texas Titans.

The Altitones at Vail Ale House

January 12, 10 p.m., Vail Ale House, West Vail

Local rockers The Altitones take over one of the biggest stages in Vail til the wee hours of the morning on Saturday night.


Beaver Creek Snowshoe Series

January 13, 8:30 a.m., Beaver Creek Mountain

On your mark, get set, and go for the gold at the first of Beaver Creek's three snowshoe races throughout the winter season, with a 5k or 10k option available for would-be racers ($40 for Sunday's race, $90 for a race series pass).

Vail Cups on Vail Mountain 

January 13, 9 a.m., Vail Mountain

If you're little one has dreams of becoming the next Lindsey Vonn, head over to Golden Peak, as Ski and Snowboard Club Vail hosts the first of four on-mountain races (open to all, including non-members of the club), with Sunday's competition set as a "Lil' Big Mountain & GS" event.
