February 22, 6 to 9 p.m., Maya, The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa

You don't need to be a hotel guest to partake in Friday Afternoon Club at the Westin, with live music, happy hour-priced tacos, and drink specials all part of the après-ski fun.

The Evolution 

February 22, 7 to 10 p.m., Ein Prosit, Avon

Funk/reggae rockers The Evolution jam out at the valley's go-to place for German biers and pretzels.

Darth Crooks at Vail Ale House

February 22, 10 p.m., Vail Ale House, West Vail

Local folk and bluegrass band Darth Crooks headline West Vail's haunt for late night music.


Talon's Challenge

February 23, 8:30 a.m., Beaver Creek Mountain

It's back—Beaver Creek's Everest-sized ski challenge returns for its 16th year, with participants testing their limits (and their legs and lung capacity) on 26,000 vertical feet of terrain at the Talons Challenge ($35 per person).

Ski for MS at Vail Mountain

February 23, 9 a.m., Vail Mountain

You can register for giveaways, hang out at the après-ski party, or make some turns with Olympic gold medalist and mogul superstar Jonny Moseley, who will be on hand for Vail's Ski for MS on-mountain fundraiser, with all proceeds from the day going to patients battling Multiple Sclerosis and their families ($25 for individual registration).
