Mountain Top Tasting 

April 5, 12 to 2:30 p.m., Vail Mountain

If you're looking to up your Taste of Vail tasting experience, consider heading up—way up—via the Eagle Bahn Gondola to the top of Vail Mountain for a picnic-style tasting at over 10,000 feet ($150 per person).

Poetry and Prose Night With Kim Cope Tait

April 5, 6 p.m., The Bookworm of Edwards, Edwards

Author and former local teacher Kim Tait will be joined by student from the Vail Mountain School for a night of poetry and prose at The Bookworm of Edwards.

Legally Blonde—The Musical

April 5, 7 p.m., Battle Mountain High School, Edwards

Elle Woods is coming to Battle Mountain High—thanks to the high school's drama troupe the Battle Mountain Players—with another show on Saturday night (7 p.m.) if you can't make Friday's performance ($10 for students, $15 for adults).


Fizz n Fit Yoga Class with LaCroix

April 6, 10 to 11 a.m., Vail Athletic Club, Vail Village 

If you're looking to start your Taste of Vail weekend on a lighter note, opt for Saturday morning's yoga flow at the VAC, where local yogi and writer Kim Fuller will lead the class, and complimentary LaCroix flavored, fizzy water will follow ($10 per person).

It's All Geek to Me Seminar

April 6, 10:30 to 11:45 a.m., The Four Seasons, Vail Village

If you'd prefer a little history to go with your wine, sign up for Saturday morning's seminar with Master of Wine Ashley Hausman and wine importer Ted Diamantis for a lesson on wine's Greek history ($55 per person).

Discovering Santa Barbara

Master Sommelier Will Costello is joined by celebrated wine author Rajat Parr for a comprehensive tasting and discussion of Pinor Noir and Chardonnay from southern California ($55 per person).

Bravo! Vail's Spring Family Concert

April 6, 4 p.m., Vilar Performing Arts Center, Beaver Creek

Bring your little ones to the Vilar for a special spring performance of Bravo! Vail; this time, Opera Colorado brings a special presentation of Hansel & Gretel to life along with an instrument petting zoo for kids to hold (and play!) real instruments (free for kids, $5 for adults).

The Reserve Grand Tasting and Auction

If you just can't choose what seminar, tasting, or picnic to attend, opt for the Taste of Vail's Grand Tasting, which features wine and small plates from all guest chefs and winemakers under one ballroom roof ($220 per person).

April 7, 5 to 6:30 p.m., The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa, Avon

The valley's golden girl (and freshly minted world champion) heads to the Westin to greet and chat with fans, who are invited to hang around for a special happy hour that features a $25 buffet dinner and drink specials. RSVPing to the event is a must.
