The Bonfire Block Party

May 31, 3:30 p.m. to 1 a.m., Eagle

Gates for the first day of this year's Bonfire Block Party open at 3:30 p.m., with The Sessh playing a double header on the Bonfire Stage (4:30 to 6 p.m., 7:30 to 9 p.m.) and soul and indie rock band Amasa Hines kicking things off for the weekend (4:30 p.m., Haymaker Stage). Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears (6 to 7:30 p.m.) and Railroad Earth (9 to 10:30 p.m.) headline Friday night's festivities at the Boneyard Stage at Broadway & 2nd in downtown Eagle, and you can catch the valley's own Runaway Grooms at the Bonfire Brewing taproom for late night tunes (10:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.). One-day General Admission tickets start at $25 per person.


Opening Day at the Eagle Pool

June 1, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Eagle Pool & Ice Rink, Eagle

The current weather might be deceiving, but it's June 1, which means it's time for Eagle's pool to open for the season (season passes start at $125 per child, $300 per family). 

Musical Story Time

June 1, 10:30 a.m., The Bookworm of Edwards, Edwards

Bring the kiddos to the Bookworm of Edwards' for a (free!) story-time-jam-session led by musician and story teller Janet Casson.

The Bonfire Block Party

June 1, 2 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Eagle

Nine-piece rock/reggae/funk band The Evolution get Saturday's party at the Bonfire Stage at 2:30 (and at 5:30 p.m.), along with bluegrass rockers The Lil Smokies on the Haymaker Stage (2:30 to 4 p.m.). Saturday's headliners at the Boneyard Stage include Ripe (4 to 5:30 p.m.), Twiddle (7 to 8:30 p.m.) before Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue are set to bring the house down from 9 to 10:30 p.m. Don't miss the afterparty at Bonfire Brewing featuring local bluegrass band Hardscrabble til after midnight (one-day general admission starting at $30 per person).


The Bonfire Block Party

June 2, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Eagle

One last chance to boogie at the Bonfire Block Party; Sunday's brunch-themed show features a Bloody Mary bar and love music from the Lil Smokies at the Boneyard Stage in downtown Eagle ($40 per person).
