Friday Afternoon Club 

June 14, 5 p.m., Hovey & Harrison, Edwards

Hovey & Harrison's garage doors are opening up for the season every Friday afternoon, when local bands will be on hand to serenade après-hikers, and drink and food specials are all part of the fun. The cafè's Friday festivities kick off this Friday (June 15) and run each week through August 23. hoveyandharrison.com

Eagle Half Marathon & 5k

June 16, 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., Brush Creek Elementary, Eagle

The Endurance Race Series tackles a stop on singletrack in Eagle that's dubbed the "hilliest course the series has to offer." Runners can opt for either a half marathon, or 10k run ($85 for the half marathon, $55 for the 10k). raceroster.com

Minturn Market

June 16, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Minturn

Minturn's downtown market, which has everything from booths of locally made jam and honey to jewelry and even a fortune teller, kicks off the summer season on Saturday (rain or shine), and runs through September 7. minturnmarket.org

Bindu Memorial Run

June 16, 9 a.m., Maloit Park, Minturn

The first-ever Bindu Memorial Run honors Bindu Pomeroy, a teacher at Vail Ski and Snowboard Academy and avid snowboarder who passed away following an accident in the backcountry of East Vail early last winter. The course navigates 5k on dirt around Maloit Park in Minturn, with proceeds going towards future mindfulness classes at the ski academy, and a permanent memorial to the longtime local ($26 per adult, $16 per child). bspmemorial.com

Café Grand Opening

June 16, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Hygge Life, Eagle-Vail 

Scandinavian home design store Hygge Life (pronounced "hoo-ga") is hosting a grand opening party for its brand-new coffee cafè next to its shop in Eagle-Vail. The shop will have $1 coffee drinks all day long, plus baked treats from The Rose in Edwards. hyggelife.com

Father's Day B-B-B Special

June 15, 3:30 p.m., Maya at the Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa, Avon

Father's Day Brunch at Vista
