Ava Keenan

She might only be 13, but “Happy Knees” is a local mogul phenomenon with a big dream: She wants to be the first Black skier ever to win an Olympic medal. You can watch Keenan—and her signature happy face knee patches—from Chair 6 bumping down The Dark Side, which is Vail Ski & Snowboard Club’s designated mogul training ground on Golden Pea

Bobby Murphy

Beaver Creek’s newly appointed vice president and chief operating officer has returned to the valley after six years away. (From 2010 to 2017, Murphy spent time as the senior director of Vail’s Ski & Snowboard School and vice president of skier services.) He takes the helm after further honing his industry skills at Stowe in Vermont and Attitash and Wildcat in New Hampshire

Diane Boyer

In November, Vail local Boyer was inducted into the 2023 Colorado Snowsports Museum Hall of Fame for her vision behind SKEA Limited, a local ski wear and lifestyle brand designed for women who ski, by women who ski. While her parents started the company in 1972, it is Boyer who has kept it relevant five decades later.
