NESTLED IN THE SERENE MOUNTAIN LANDSCAPES OF EAGLE, COLORADO FROST CREEK stands as a testament to both the artistry of golf course design and the warmth of community spirit. For six glorious months each year, from May 1st to October 31st, Frost Creek opens its arms to golf enthusiasts and families alike, offering an unparalleled golf experience in the heart of nature.

At Frost Creek, accessibility is key. With 345 member families, a mix of local residents and national members, securing a tee time is refreshingly effortless. Whether you’re planning a full round or a casual afternoon outing with young ones, the welcoming atmosphere ensures that every visit is as enjoyable as it is memorable. While the rules of the game are upheld, the vibe here is distinctly laid-back, fostering a sense of camaraderie among members and staff alike.

“The Club is a luxury facility situated on 1,100 acres located in the Brush Creek Valley, surrounded by spectacular vistas, pristine pastures, and Bureau of Land Management public lands, which cannot be developed,” said Kakie Holland, Director of Membership and Real Estate Sales. “While golf is the backbone of Frost Creek with our 18-hole championship Tom Weiskopf designed course, the year-round mountain lifestyle activities are what make us Colorado’s Mountain Club and distinguish us from other clubs in the area.

Superintendent Derrick Dryer, a seasoned expert entering his 9th season, meticulously tends to every detail of the course. His dedication ensures that from early season greens to peak summer, Frost Creek boasts ideal conditions that enhance every player’s experience.

“With a keen focus on maintaining optimal green speeds, our crew extends the golfing season, promising months of pristine playing surfaces,” said Mike Gibbs President and General Manager of Frost Creek.

Designed by the legendary Tom Weiskopf, Frost Creek’s layout is a testament to strategic play and breathtaking vistas. Signature holes like #4 and #13 challenge golfers with drivable par 4s, offering risk and reward scenarios that tempt even the most seasoned players to go for the green in one shot. Notably, Tom’s 10—a homage to the designer’s philosophy—pays tribute to the renowned #14 approach, immortalizing Weiskopf’s passion for creating memorable golfing experiences.

“Joining Frost Creek means more than gaining access to a top-tier golf course; it’s about becoming part of a community that values both excellence and camaraderie.”

Frost Creek holds a special place in Weiskopf’s legacy. It was one of his favorite projects, a fact he often shared with his daughter, Heidi. Following his passing, Heidi visited Frost Creek, seeking to understand the courses her father cherished most. As she prepared to accept his posthumous induction into the Golf Hall of Fame, she found in Frost Creek a vivid embodiment of his design ethos and love for the game.

For those in need of a mid-round refreshment, the newly appointed comfort station on the 6th green is a delightful oasis and the brainchild of Frost Creek’s owner, Chad Brue. Offering an assortment of snacks for the perfect pick-me-up to keep you energized through the back nine.

“Joining Frost Creek means more than gaining access to a top-tier golf course; it’s about becoming part of a community that values both excellence and camaraderie. Here, every round is an opportunity to enjoy the game, the scenery, and the company of friends old and new,” added Gibbs.
