From the BC Hiking Center to spa treatments.

The Beaver Creek Hike & Wine Excursion to Beaver Lake culminates with wine and cheese at Beano's Cabin.

Beaver Creek

BC Hiking Center

This village hub is Beaver Creek’s starting place for guided excursions on foot. Open daily (9 a.m.–4:30 p.m., June 18–Sept 30), the Hiking Center offers experiences ranging from a weekly Beaver Lake jaunt to a weekly summit hike to private family excursions on the mountain, instilling a love of hiking and detailing the area’s history and flora and fauna. (Many guided hikes include water and lunch as well.) Prices vary. Book by calling 970-754-5373.

If you’re a do-it-yourselfer, take a gander at Beaver Creek’s summer trail map and plot your fancy. The Overlook Trail is a beautiful way to travel between the village and Spruce Saddle. There you can play disc golf or continue west on the Royal Elk Trail to the Beaver Lake Trail, which brings you back to the village. Shorter, family-friendly options include Allie’s Way and the Village Loop. Come fall, it doesn’t get much prettier than strolling along the Village to Village Trail from Beaver Creek to Arrowhead. To find a map, visit beavercreek.com (click on The Mountain, then Trail Maps).

BC Wine & Cheese Hike

This is exactly what you think of when you picture Beaver Creek in summer: A guided 1.5-mile hike to a shimmering mountain lake, followed by a scrumptious spread of cheeses and meats and treats paired with wines on deck overlooking a meadow of wildflowers and the vista of Grouse Mountain. The resort’s Hike & Wine Excursion to and from Beaver Lake lasts around two hours, but it’s a small price to pay for the post-hike indulgence at Beano’s Cabin. $194. beavercreek.com

BC Village bar Crawl

Though Beaver Creek Village is certainly bar-crawl material on its own, its world-class neighbor just inside the resort’s main entrance gate—Mirabelle—lends a unique twist to the idea (mirabelle1.com). Start with drinks at Mirabelle’s bar or on the deck (and split the seared foie gras for a delectable bit of fuel), then hike up the Elkhorn Trail or the bike path to the village for suds at the Dusty Boot, a Beav classic that serves globally renowned nachos (dustybootbeavercreek.com). Move on to a margarita at the iconic Coyote Cafe; you can’t go wrong with the Cougar, Green Hornet, or Hot n’ Horny (coyotecafe.net). You’ll be ready for lawn games and fresh air after that, so stroll over to the Park Hyatt’s well-trimmed grass and soak in the view of summer at its height. Still hungry/thirsty? Douse the fire from honey sriracha wings with a frosty pint at the Brass Bear, the hotel’s lobby bar (beavercreek.park.hyatt.com).

BC Spa Treatment

Exhale Spa at the Park Hyatt (exhalespa.com) designs its menu for active visitors, and among a range of massage and acupuncture options, you can also sign up for an hourlong Yoga Meditation or Exhale Flow Yoga class, working on breathing and mindfulness while helping your muscles recover. Or just do nothing but soak in the relaxing vibes of the spa’s Aqua Sanitas Water Sanctuary, a luxurious Roman bath where you can shower under a waterfall, or let your worries melt away in one of the heated lounge chairs in the tepidarium.
