Slifer Designs has changed how people view resort design globally, yet the company’s focus has never left their home of Vail, Colorado. It was 1983 when Beth and Rod Slifer were a newly married couple starting their life in Vail.
Back then, Vail wasn’t the luxury destination it is today— the town was filled with spartan, poorly designed cabins. But Beth Slifer had a vision for what Vail could become, and led the charge not just in shaping Vail’s appearance but in turning the town into the international leader for resort interior design.
Over the next decade, Slifer Designs added staff and quickly grew to be the preeminent interior design company in the Vail Valley, with showrooms in the Town of Vail and Denver. After purchasing a 20,000 square foot warehouse just west of Vail in Avon, Slifer Designs became a full service design firm.
