Kordi Schmidt, owner of Manor Vail Spa, first came to Colorado when she was freshly recruited out of massage school in Canada. In 2011, Kordi made the jump to start her own business and opened Manor Vail Spa. Being highly trained in therapeutic and sports massage she, and a small team of carefully selected, equally well-trained therapists, built a loyal clientele base, based on the therapeutic quality of the massages. Over the next few years Kordi expanded her talents to esthetics and acquired her certifications to become a lymph drainage specialist.

 With the spa growing, Kordi recruited her sister Ruth, to join her in Colorado to help with the managing of the spa. Ruth was an Assistant Trainer to one of Canada’s top horse racing stables, after having worked on several sustainable development projects in Central and South America. Over the next few years the sister duo has worked together to grow the spa. Born in Germany and being raised on an organic farm they bring elements from both into the spa. The spa is a certified Green Spa and has distinct European elements. They are a vibrant part of the local community with a local’s program integrated into the spa. Kordi and Ruth were raised with a love for nature, culture and a sense of community, all of which they bring into the spa, making it a place that is unique and distinctly personal.
