Vail Valley Soccer Cup

Oct. 4-6, 9 a.m., Various locations in Eagle County

All the drama and athleticism of soccer comes to the Vail Valley as U11 through U15 boys and U11 through U19 girls teams take to fields around Eagle County during the 6th Annual Vail Valley Cup Cindy Eskwith Memorial Tournament. 150 teams (more than 2500 players) from all corners of the state will take to the fields in this sold-out tournament.


Vail Valley Art Guild First Friday

Oct. 4, 5:30 – 8 p.m., 291 Main Street, Minturn

In collaboration with the Vail Valley Art Guild, the town of Minturn’s First Friday event converts Main Street storefronts into "pop-up" art galleries on the first Friday of every month; this weekend's host gallery: The Minturn Community Fund, featuring works of local artists from the valley and around Colorado.


Vail Beaver Creek Restaurant Week

Open House at Vail Fire and Emergency Services

Oct. 5, 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., 2399 North Frontage Road West, West Vail

Don’t miss this instructive and free kick-off to Fire Prevention Week at the West Vail Fire Station. Featuring hands-on activities to learn about fire prevention and safety, this free program for kids of all ages includes a chance to explore the trucks and meet the firefighters and other local emergency responder. A BBQ lunch and goody bag to take home just sweetens the deal.


Ranky Tanky

Oct. 5, 7:30 p.m., Vilar Performing Arts Center, Beaver Creek

The first of the fall Underground Sound lineup, Ranky Tanky brings their blend of jazz, blues, funk and soul to the Vilar Performing Arts Center. This Charleston, SC-based quintet quickly made their debut on the charts after the release of their eponymous album Oct. 2017. Performing the sounds of the Gullah culture born from the Sea Islands, Ranky Tanky flows from spirituals to game songs to lullabies with a vibrancy and spirit all their own. With a newly released album with which to amaze audiences, this is an exciting start to the series. $38.




Vail Farmers Market & Art Show

Oct. 6, 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., East Meadow Drive, Vail Village

It’s the final weekend of the 2019 Vail Farmers Market & Art Show and your last chance to grab up fresh farm goodies, one-of-a-kind artwork and more. Make it a lunch date and enjoy bites and nibbles from local restaurants as you soak up the sun and watch the people go by.
