There's a Cookie Time Milkshake on Beaver Creek Mountain

Beaver Creek ups the caloric ante of on-mountain amenities with a malt shop crowning its rechristened bunny hill.

The Cookie Time Milkshake

Haymeadow Park, Beaver Creek’s rebranded base area bunny hill, debuted this season with a cherry on top: The Ice Cream Parlour, an old-timey malt shop off Haymeadow’s upper gondola terminal, where retro details include high-top seating, shelves of glass candy jars, and a vintage-looking shake machine that produces a dessert that would entice a certain Sesame Street muppet to barter his fuzz-stuffed soul: the Cookie Time Milkshake. Made with vanilla ice cream infused with the resort’s signature après-ski chocolate chip cookies, crowned with a summit mound of whipped cream dusted with chocolate chip cookie crumbs and shaved chocolate. And the pièce de résistance: You guessed it—a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich. It’s served in an antique-y fountain shoppe glass with a powder-blue-and-white-swirled paper straw. Worried about your waistline? Consider this bit of wisdom from a ski instructor who was savoring the views of Beaver Creek Village (and a hot cocoa topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings) from the Parlour’s deck one particularly chilly winter morning: “Calories don’t count when you’re over 8,000 feet above sea level!” beavercreek.com
