You might not need much convincing to come to Beaver Creek given how much snow the Vail Valley has received this winter (which should lend itself to a colorful and vibrant wildflower season come summer), but if you do need even more reason, consider this: one of the Beav's swankiest clubs that happens to have a few privately owned residences available for short-term rental (starting at $450 per night during early Spring and late Fall, and $575 per night during peak summer months for a two-bedroom residence) just renovated its spa, fitness area, and skier lounge and is offering discounted rates throughout the summer. The Chateau at Beaver Creek completed a major remodel this past winter, which included a revamped spa (that now houses a state-of-the-art dry sauna, and brand new steam room, hot tub, and cold bucket showers) with upgraded treatment rooms and marble detailing throughout, plus a modernized fitness room for yoga and pilates classes. The Chateau's new skier lounge is worth checking out, too—thanks to complimentary hot cocoa served every afternoon in the winter, and sleek new upholstered benches, a cozy fireplace, and modern accents (like fur throws and plush armchairs). As is the luxurious pool (and afternoon snacks and hot beverages), ideal for lounging in the summer, too. The best part? The Chateau is offering 10 percent off its daily rates when you book five consecutive nights between May 24 and September 21.
After you're done checking out the new amenities, be sure to head upstairs for a glass of Champagne at Splendido, which (thankfully) hasn't changed a bit and hosts live music with local pianist Kathy Morrow on Friday nights (7 p.m.). chateaubeavercreek.com
