Friday

May 24, 2 to 6 p.m., Beaver Creek Village, Beaver Creek

If you're ready for summer (who isn't?!), head to Beaver Creek this weekend for the resort's annual ode to local beer and barbecue eats. Friday's kickoff includes the opening of the event's beer and food garden, with the "Backyard BBQ Competition" set to pit the valley's best recreational BBQ-ers against one another for the ultimate title of Grill Master. Live music starts at 3 p.m.—first, with Ron Artis II before Shemekia Copeland closes out the festivities at 5 p.m. beavercreek.com

Saturday

Blues, Brews, & BBQ

May 25, 12 to 6 p.m., Beaver Creek Village, Beaver Creek

Day 2 of Beaver Creek's Blues, Brews, & BBQ festival is packed with live music. The valley's own Burnsville Blues Band kicks things off at noon (12 to 2 p.m.) before singer-songwriter Quinn Sullivan takes over the stage at 2:30 p.m. Blues duo Larkin Poe wrap things up when they hit the stage at 4:30 p.m. beavercreek.com

Beaver Creek Craft Beer Festival

May 25, 1 to 5 p.m., Beaver Creek Village, Beaver Creek

If you'd rather just focus on the beer this weekend (as opposed to the Blues & BBQ, too), head over to Beaver Creek's Craft Beer Festival, which features a larger assortment of craft Colorado beer and yard games for some afternoon fun by the base of Beaver Creek Mountain. And if you do feel the urge to get your fix of BBQ (and Blues!), you're in luck—the rest of the festival is located just around the corner near the Beaver Creek ice skating rink (General Admission starting at $50 per person). eventbrite.com

Q+A with Tess Johnson

May 25, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., The Inn at the Riverwalk, Edwards

The valley's own Olympic mogul phenom, Tess Johnson, heads to the Inn at the Riverwalk for a meet and greet with fans, where she'll also answer questions and sign autographs. innatriverwalk.com
