Our goal at Preservation Family Wealth Vail is to help individuals and families navigate the pitfalls of the estate planning process. I have teamed up with an expert Denver-based trust and estate law firm and a professional insurance expert in estate planning and consultant with years of experience in valuing and monetizing fine art. While our firm does not manage money for our current clients, we work with all major wealth investment firms and philanthropic advisors.

Why did you start Preservation Family Wealth Vail
As an attorney practicing law and raising a family in Eagle County for more than 30 years, estate planning was a service I always provided to local families. A few years ago, I became the trustee and health care surrogate for my own mother suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and learned the pitfalls of elder care and wanted to create a comprehensive estate planning service. Elder-care abuse is at an all-time high since COVID and leaves loved ones vulnerable to exploitative health care practices. Our heath care, legal system, and government benefits are ill equipped to manage the complexity of issues facing families. One example is that Medicare does not pay for long-term care, which results in depletion of assets without proper planning.

These topics are highly strategic in family wealth management and require a depth of experience, but most importantly patience and compassion.

There are legal and financial measures my team can facilitate for families to ensure this transition runs smoothly. We are excited to provide these comprehensives services to our community.
