Eagle County Regional Airport

Kip Turner, Director of Aviation
What airlines fly into Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE)? And where do they fly to/from?
We are proud to have three major carriers provide air service at EGE, including American, Delta and United. We have year round service to Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW) and Denver (DEN). For the 2018-2019 Winter Season we have 14 non-stop destinations including, Atlanta (ATL), Chicago(ORD), Dallas/Ft. Worth(DFW), Denver(DEN), Houston(IAH), Los Angeles(LAX), Miami(MIA), Newark(EWR), New York/Kennedy(JFK), New York/LaGuardia(LGA), Phoenix(PHX), Salt Lake City(SLC), San Francisco(SFO), and Washington Dulles(IAD).
What sets Eagle County Regional Airport apart from other airports in the area?
I can sum it up in a few words: Customer Service, Reliability, and Convenience. Our staff works extremely hard to ensure we provide, and help our tenants to provide a safe operation that focuses on excellent customer service. We are the hometown Airport of Eagle County and the Vail Valley; you can’t get more convenient than that, right? Bottom line, we know our customers have choses and we want you to know how much it means to us when you chose EGE.
OK, be honest. Does a passenger really need to arrive 2 hours before departure?
We always encourage passengers to arrive early. That being said, we’ve found that most of the time 90 minutes is reasonable amount of time to complete the check-in and screening process at EGE. We encourage passengers to check-in online with their airline to save time. EGE also provides a TSA Pre-Check lane for those passengers that are enrolled in the program.
How is the Terminal Expansion Project going? And are there any changes for passengers at EGE because of the construction?
The Terminal Expansion Project broke ground in April, and is expected to be completed on time in November 2019. We are excited that this project will be adding jet-bridges at 4 of the 6 gates. The expansion has also allowed us to provide more space and improved amenities to our customers. We’re growing faster than the expansion can keep up with, so the airport will still feel very busy in peak season. During the construction phases there aren’t any big changes for our passengers, and we’ve worked very hard to make the temporary area feel comfortable and inviting.
