Nicole Sharp, Lead Concierge

What does your role as a concierge mean to you?

I’ve had a knack for helping people as long as I can remember, so hospitality was a natural choice for me.  I also have a deep appreciation for nature and love spending time outdoors.  My role as a concierge allows me the opportunity to combine the two, by sharing my passion with our guests and owners.  Culture, dance, art, music, cuisine, nature, Vail has it all.  The beauty and splendor the mountains offer is truly awesome, so when guests express the amazing time they had in Vail, it’s very rewarding.

What would be one of the most surprising requests you received from a guest?

I receive interesting requests every day.  From assisting guests with reservations and tours to pet sitting. The most memorable: a guest called me in desperate need, asking to help him plan a surprise engagement for the love of his life.  He didn’t know much about Vail, so I took over planning right away.  I set up a private snowmobile tour, accompanied champagne toast, all while being captured by a photographer.  They returned from their adventure to find the unit filled with beautiful flowers, rose petals, truffles, romantic dinner and spa treatment for two. Of course she said yes, and he was grateful for the most memorable experience.
