Vail Summit Orthopaedic Foundation

Founded in 2013 by the surgeons at the Vail Summit Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery (VSO), the Vail Summit Orthopaedics Foundation (VSOF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. VSOF was established as a way to improve the care of patients with musculoskeletal disorders through research, outreach
and education.
Despite the billions of dollars and millions of lives affected, musculoskeletal disorders accounted for less than 2% of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) budget every year since 2000. Musculoskeletal disorders affect nearly 1 out of every 2 adults in the U.S. and include arthritis, conditions of the spine (e.g., low back/neck pain), spinal deformity (e.g., scoliosis), Osteoporosis, cancers of the bone and connective tissue, musculoskeletal injuries.
By supporting VSOF, you ensure continuing medical education and research is conducted in support of accelerating recovery time and further understanding musculoskeletal disorders.
